Senior Full-Stack Engineer (TypeScript)
Build the product surfaces of Nucleus OS end to end — from NestJS and GraphQL services to the React experiences enterprise learners use every day.
About Nucleus OS
Nucleus OS is an AI-native enterprise learning platform. We turn an organization's knowledge into adaptive programs, AI tutors and rich media lessons — so teams learn what they need, when they need it.
The role
You'll own features across the stack: TypeScript services on NestJS + GraphQL + MongoDB, real-time streaming with SSE, and a Next.js/React front end. You'll work closely with our AI/ML and design teams to ship experiences that feel fast, trustworthy and genuinely helpful.
We're a small team, so your work ships to customers quickly and your judgement shapes how we build.
What you'll do
- Design, build and ship full-stack features across our NestJS/GraphQL backend and Next.js front end
- Own reliability and performance for the services you build — observability, tests and on-call hygiene
- Integrate LLM-powered workflows (streaming responses, tool calls, media generation) into product surfaces
- Shape our API contracts and data models with an eye to multi-tenant security
- Review code, mentor teammates and raise the engineering bar through example
What you'll bring
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with deep TypeScript expertise
- Production experience with Node.js backends (NestJS or similar) and React front ends
- Strong data-modelling skills with MongoDB or another document/relational database
- Experience designing and evolving GraphQL or REST APIs used by multiple clients
- Clear written communication and comfort working asynchronously
Nice to have
- Experience shipping LLM-backed product features
- Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, GCS) experience
- Background in edtech, L&D or enterprise SaaS
Benefits
- Comprehensive extended health and dental coverage from day one
- Meaningful equity — everyone is an owner
- Flexible remote-first work across Canadian time zones, with a Vancouver hub
- $1,500 CAD annual learning budget (we are a learning company, after all)
- Home-office stipend and the hardware you need
- Generous vacation plus a company-wide winter break
