Brand voice and style
Teach Nucleus OS your tone, terminology, and visual style once, and apply it to every course, video, and translation.
Brand voice makes generated content sound like your organization instead of a generic textbook. You set it up once; it is applied to every lesson, assessment, video script, and translation.
What brand voice covers
| Element | Examples |
|---|---|
| Tone | Warm and direct; formal and precise; playful but never flippant |
| Terminology | "Associates", not "employees"; product names with exact capitalization |
| Words to avoid | Internal jargon, competitor names, outdated product names |
| Reading level | Plain language for frontline teams; technical depth for engineers |
| Visual style | Logo, brand colors, fonts, image style, and aspect ratios for video |
Set it up
Add reference material
Upload your style guide and a few documents that sound the way you want courses to sound, such as a well-liked internal newsletter or a polished customer guide. Visual assets (logo, colors, fonts, templates) live in the Brand Library.
Review the summary
Nucleus OS summarizes the voice it learned: tone, typical sentence length, preferred terms. Correct anything that is off.
Add a glossary
List terms that must always be written a certain way, and terms that must never be translated. The glossary is enforced in generation and in translation.
Test it
Generate a short lesson and read it aloud. If it does not sound like you, add another reference document or adjust the summary.
Multiple voices
Customer education and internal training often need different voices. You can keep more than one voice and choose which one a course uses, for example a friendly external voice and a concise internal one.
Review gates check tone
The tone check in review gates compares each lesson against your brand voice and flags passages that drift, so edits by many authors stay consistent.
