Nucleus OS Docs
    Integrations

    Slack and Microsoft Teams

Deliver reminders, nudges, and quick check-ins where people already work, and let learners open activities in one click.

Most people live in Slack or Microsoft Teams, not their email inbox. Connecting either one sends Nucleus OS notifications there, with links straight into the activity.

    What you can send

    • Enrollment announcements and due-date reminders
    • Overdue notices and manager digests
    • Live session reminders with a join link
    • Quick check-ins, such as a single review question to reinforce a fading concept
    • Certificate issued and expiring notices

    Connect Slack

    Install the app

Open Connectors in the sidebar, choose Slack, and approve the installation for your Slack workspace. You need permission to install apps in Slack.

    Match users

People are matched by email address between Slack and Nucleus OS.

    Choose programs and events

Pick which programs and events send Slack messages. A common setup is Slack for onboarding and enablement, email for annual compliance.

    Connect Microsoft Teams

    Approve the app

A Microsoft 365 admin approves the Nucleus OS app for your tenant. Then open Connectors, choose Microsoft Teams, and sign in with an account that can install apps.

    Roll out to users

Make the app available to the people or groups who should get notifications. Users are matched by email.

    Choose programs and events

As with Slack, choose which programs and events use Teams.

    Respect the channel

Chat notifications are more noticeable than email, which is the point, but also easy to overdo. Use the recommended cadence in Scheduling and reminders and send manager digests weekly rather than per event.

    Troubleshooting

    • Someone gets no messages. Their email in Slack or Teams probably differs from their Nucleus OS email. Align them, or have the user connect their account from their profile.
    • Messages stopped for everyone. The app may have been removed or its permissions revoked. Reconnect it under Connectors.
