Scheduling and reminders
Schedule cohorts, live sessions, and due dates automatically, and send escalating reminders by email, Slack, and Teams.
Scheduling
Nucleus OS schedules the moving parts of a program automatically:
- Due dates, fixed ("31 March") or relative ("14 days after start date").
- Cohorts and live sessions, with calendar invites for every participant.
- Step unlocks in a path, by date or by completing earlier steps.
- Refreshers when mastery of a concept starts to fade.
Reminders that work
Reminders escalate as a due date approaches, with manager visibility before anything goes overdue.
Recommended cadence
| When | Who | Message |
|---|---|---|
| On enrollment | Learner | What, why, how long, and the due date |
| Halfway to due date | Learner (if not started) | Friendly nudge with a direct link |
| 2 days before | Learner (if not complete) | Clear deadline reminder |
| Due date passed | Learner and manager | Overdue notice; manager sees it in their digest |
| Weekly | Managers | Digest of who is on track and who is not |
Less is more
Three well-timed reminders beat a daily nag. If completion is low, look at the program first (is it too long, or unclear why it matters?) before adding reminders.
Channels
Send reminders by email, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. Choose channels per program, for example Slack for sales onboarding and email for an annual compliance refresher. See Slack and Microsoft Teams.
Manager digests
Managers receive a regular digest of their team's progress: completions, upcoming deadlines, overdue items, and anyone at risk. Digests link directly into reporting so a manager can follow up in one click.
Extensions and exceptions
Admins and managers can extend a due date for an individual (for example during leave). Extensions and exemptions are recorded in the audit trail with the reason.
